Brokeback Mountain
After watching the film to see what all the hype was about, I felt there was a lack of connection between the characters. I've had this problem with other book-based films (the book provides more of a character's mind than what a movie can), so I thought to give the book a try. No such luck. I did not feel any sort of connection between the characters, so I gave up.
