Isaac and his family preach very strongly and fiercely about what they believe in, that homosexuality is a sin and those engaging will go to hell. Isaac has believed this his whole life and he wants to save the sinners. So he sets out to prove that it's a choice and he can walk away. What he doesn't expect to find is love and himself.

This book was beautiful. But it was so hard to read at times. The hurtful things Isaac and his family were saying just made me so angry at times. They way they acted ticked me off. But I understood that it was what they truly believed. I could see Isaac struggling with it all; his feelings that didn't line up with what he believed and was taught. Religion and Scripture play a major role in this book. I know that bothers some people, but I loved that it wasn't a black and white choice. Isaac learned to embrace his true self while still staying true to his faith and his God. At times, it was heartbreaking, at times it made me angry, and then there was love. And it was beautiful.

I'm so happy I read this book. I would recommend it to everyone.

This could have been good. But sadly, the writing style was unpolished and it was in bad need of editing. There were so many grammatical errors, it was hard to stay focused. Thankfully it was short.

So many of the BDSM books I read are about a sub learning the ropes. So I find it very refreshing to read about a Dom in training learning to be in control and to take care of his sub.

Knave of Broken Hearts

This is book two in the Love in Laguna series and I'm thrilled to read Jim's story. At 82% through the audio version (narrated by K.C. Kelly), I got so ticked off with Jim. How could he go along with his dad's crazy scheme? How could he ruin not only his own life, but those of people he cared about? It's not only ruining his own, but he's ruining Constance's and Ken's lives as well.

Thank goodness he had some really good friends on his side, that were able to prevent such a horrible thing from happening. But talk about scary! His life was in such shambles that his poor heart couldn't take it. And what a way to wow Ken's traditional mother. Ha! That scene had me in giggles. He had everything he needed to win her over, except the confidence in himself.

This was such a good read. And listening to K.C. Kelly's narration made it that much more enjoyable. This is my second of his narrations, and he does a remarkable job. I will most definitely consider more of his narrations in the future. He did an outstanding job with the Japanese language and accent. He gave each character his/her own voice and it was easy to follow who was speaking.

I look forward to book three in this series.

Sex. That was a majority of this book. And we were only provided with one night. One sexy, sensual, erotic night. It was very hot. But I really would have loved to see the mentioned 4 weeks leading up to this one night. Because these two guys knew each other for a month and apparently there was some hidden sexual tension there between them. So when they finally caved, it was explosive. And part of what made it so good was that it was intimate; they connected emotionally not just physically. It lacked the distance of a one-night stand.

I found the actually plot to be lacking though. I would have liked this to be longer with more backstory of both characters. Again, more of the chaotic 4 weeks leading up to this night so that we could see some of the acquaintance-ness, some of the tension buildup between Evan and Richard.

Beautiful story. I'm glad Josh and Caleb didn't suffer too much. They were very lucky and I kept waiting for the shit to hit the fan, so to speak. But, although there were some bumps, it never got too bad. And that makes me happy. I love those nice, mildly angsty reads.

This book was much harder to finish than book one. There was a point in the book where it seemed like all they did was eat, nap and drink tea. It got boring. It started to pick up a bit at 75% but I struggled to get through it.

The Last Yeti

Tully took the refreshing idea of a yeti shifter and created a beautiful story of two souls from different worlds drawn to each other inexplicably. I loved the deep connection between Jrake and Rohn. I love stories like this, where the connection goes beyond physical to something more emotional and powerful. This is definitely a favorite of mine. From the cover, to the prompt that inspired it to the creative mind of the author that brought it to life. It's just amazing. One of the best shifter stories I've read.

I am disappointed. I was looking forward to this. I've enjoyed the other books in the series. But with this one, I feel like I missed stuff. There was so much filler material on other characters, and hardly anything at all between the main characters til after the halfway point. And this book isn't very long either.

We didn't really get a whole lot of background on this couple. Heck, we didn't get much actual interaction between them at all. Suddenly, Hutch realizes Mike is the one he wants and he flips out. Next thing we know, Mike is declaring his feelings to Hutch and it's over. Way too much was left out. All the buildup happened off page.

Yeah. Disappointed. Thank you, Grey Trembley, for giving me a reason to keep listening. Your narration kept me going.

I loved how the boys were so sure of their path, they never doubted their choice once they were back in Zebulon with everyone telling them to come back and repent. It warmed my heart to hear them feel good about their choice to be true to themselves.
